When to use Video Analysis

Choose the dedicated Video Analysis workflow when you want Pelayar to inspect visible events, actions, techniques, or patterns in a recording. It is a good fit for interviews, lectures, demonstrations, performances, product walkthroughs, training footage, and other general video.

For sport-specific tactics, formations, phases, and player performance, use Sports Analysis instead. The dedicated workflows use a more powerful video-analysis model and purpose-built data gathering for focused questions than a general Agent Chat request.

What it can help with

• Locate important moments and return timestamped examples.
• Describe visible actions, changes, sequences, and recurring patterns.
• Review demonstrations, presentations, interviews, or performances against a clear checklist.
• Compare two recordings or compare different sections of one recording.
• Turn observations into a summary, review notes, recommendations, or a follow-up plan.

Start an analysis

1. Open Video Analysis.
2. Upload an authorized video or add an accessible YouTube source.
3. Identify the subject, time range, and question you want answered.
4. Ask for the output format you need, such as timestamped findings, a concise summary, or recommendations.
5. Review the result against the footage and open timestamps for important claims.

Get stronger results

• State who or what Pelayar should follow when several people or objects appear.
• Describe the visible behavior you want to find instead of asking only for a broad summary.
• Include a time range when the full recording is long or contains unrelated material.
• Use clear footage with enough resolution, lighting, and camera coverage for the requested observation.
• Ask for uncertainty or limitations when an action is obstructed, distant, or ambiguous.

If the result is incomplete

Try a shorter segment, a more specific question, or a clearer copy of the video. If timestamps do not open, confirm that the source is still available and that the result contains a valid media reference. For permission or upload errors, review the YouTube guidance or troubleshooting steps.
