Upload video for analysis

Prepare the source

• Use footage you own or are authorized to upload and analyze.
• Choose a clear video where the relevant people, objects, field, court, or demonstration area remain visible.
• Trim unrelated sections when a shorter segment will answer the question.
• For the smoothest processing, keep an uploaded video below approximately 1.9 GB when practical. This is an optimal target, not a universal limit.

Upload and describe the request

1. Open Video Analysis or Sports Analysis.
2. Upload the video file, or use an accessible YouTube source when appropriate.
3. Identify who or what Pelayar should follow and include the relevant time range.
4. Ask for specific findings, examples, timestamps, and the output format you need.
5. Wait for processing to finish, then review the result against the footage.

Supported formats and limits

See Supported file types and workflow limits for the current list of video formats and the selected workflow's limits. The workflow shown in Pelayar is authoritative because size and duration limits can vary by analysis mode. Uploaded files use project storage and processing can use credits; YouTube links do not store a copy of the video in Pelayar.

Quality tips

• Keep the camera steady and the relevant action in frame.
• Use enough resolution and lighting to distinguish players, speakers, objects, or technique.
• Provide context such as sport, teams, player identifiers, demonstration steps, or expected terminology.
• Ask one focused question first when the recording contains several unrelated activities.

If upload or analysis fails

1. Confirm that the file is not empty, damaged, or beyond the selected workflow's size and duration limits.
2. Try a supported MP4 copy when the original container is not recognized.
3. Use a shorter or smaller segment if processing cannot complete.
4. For YouTube, verify that the video plays for your account and that the uploader allows embedding; see Add a YouTube video.
5. If the issue continues, contact Pelayar support with the filename or link, format, size, exact error, and approximate time of the attempt.
