Understand privacy and project data

Keep sensitive work in the right project, upload only content you are authorized to process, and review Pelayar's Privacy Policy for retention, sharing, deletion, and service-provider details.

Choose the right project visibility

Projects organize the files, conversations, and evidence used for your work. Before uploading anything sensitive, open Create and manage projects and confirm who should be able to access it.

  • Private: intended for the project owner. Use this for personal work or material that should not be shared with company members.
  • Company: available to eligible members of the company according to their project access and role. Use it only when the relevant team needs the evidence.
  • Separate projects: keep unrelated clients, teams, or matters apart so a later question does not combine the wrong sources.

Project visibility is different from sharing a generated report or conversation. Check the audience before sending an output outside the people who are authorized to see the underlying material.

Upload only what you are allowed to use

  1. Confirm that you have permission to upload and analyze each document, image, audio recording, video, spreadsheet, or YouTube source.
  2. Use the minimum content needed for the question. Remove unrelated personal, client, or confidential information before uploading when practical.
  3. Use clear project names and keep sensitive work in its own project.
  4. Review the file and media guidance before adding large collections or recordings.

How Pelayar uses your content

Pelayar processes User Content to provide the analysis, summaries, citations, transcripts, reports, and other outputs you request. The Privacy Policy states that User Content is not used to train Pelayar's general AI models or third-party AI models.

To operate the service, Pelayar may use trusted service providers such as hosting, analytics, support, and payment providers. The Privacy Policy describes those roles and the limits on how they may handle your information.

Remove content and understand retention

Use File Management to review your uploaded files, check storage usage, and delete files you no longer need. The page requires you to be signed in.

  1. Open My Files and review the filename, type, size, and storage impact.
  2. Download any report or output you need before deleting its source. See Open and download reports and outputs first.
  3. Delete one file or select multiple files for a bulk deletion. Deleted files cannot be recovered, so confirm that no active conversation or teammate still depends on them.
  4. For account deletion or data-rights requests, follow the instructions in the Privacy Policy.
